When life becomes all-consuming, homes can lose the attention and intentionality required to properly support those who live in them. Design has the ability to reset that relationship. By placing trust in a professional process, it becomes possible to transform not only the appearance of a space but the energy and support it offers in everyday life.
The owners of this home were highly creative but limited in time. They placed full trust in us to define the scope and direction of the renovation, allowing the process to unfold with clarity and purpose. That trust proved essential, resulting in an outcome that was deeply rewarding for all involved.
Originally, the space was a long, narrow room divided into three small, disconnected areas. Low ceilings, limited natural light and an outdated kitchen created an environment that felt dark and restrictive. By removing all internal walls, the home was opened up to restore light, flow and ease of movement.
The kitchen, dining and lounge areas now connect seamlessly, forming an inviting and generous living space. Clean lines, a contemporary kitchen and a carefully considered lighting scheme established a calm and balanced architectural foundation.
This created the ideal backdrop for the couple’s eclectic art collection, allowing each piece to be seen and appreciated. The result is a home that celebrates craft and character while providing a renewed sense of balance, warmth and sanctuary for the family.
