This family home is characterised by a relaxed, understated elegance and a strong connection to its natural surroundings. Layered fabrics, international art and timeless antiques are carefully composed to create interiors that feel warm, expressive and personal. Family is the owners’ primary priority and the design is centred on creating spaces that naturally facilitate time together, shared rituals and effortless entertaining.
The renovation focused on strengthening the relationship between indoors and outdoors, allowing daily life to extend into the landscape. Living spaces open seamlessly onto terraces and gardens, supporting gatherings in the warmer months and quieter moments beside open fires in winter. The home adapts intuitively to seasonal change, offering comfort, flexibility and ease throughout the year.
This was a highly engaged international project, requiring rigorous project management and regular site visits to maintain design integrity from concept through completion. Close collaboration with the building team ensured new spaces were sensitively introduced and that all functional and aesthetic requirements were met with clarity and precision.

The terraced layout of the home supports both togetherness and retreat, allowing family members to connect or find privacy as needed, particularly during extended holidays. The project culminated in a complete international relocation, resulting in a cohesive family home set within the Sintra mountains, where architecture, landscape and family life are seamlessly aligned.
