This project demonstrates the power of design as a catalyst for wellbeing, happiness and renewal. A total renovation became the opportunity to create a new beginning, one that supports both emotional and physical balance while enhancing the way the home is experienced on a daily basis.
The existing house and garden were fully stripped back to address fundamental issues of structure, flow and spatial coherence. By recalibrating the energy of the home, the renovation established a clearer relationship between movement, light and rest, allowing the spaces to feel intuitive and restorative.
Sustainability and continuity were central to the process. Nothing was wasted.
The pool was re-surfaced, existing external elements were retained where possible and interiors combine repurposed furniture from the client’s previous home with carefully selected new pieces. This layering adds depth, familiarity and a sense of permanence.
The resulting interior is calm and grounded. A double-sided, glass-fronted wood-burning fireplace forms a quiet focal point, bringing warmth, comfort and a sense of belonging to the heart of the home.​ With the owner working from home, thoughtful zoning was essential. The third bedroom was reconfigured as a dedicated workspace that supports focus and productivity while maintaining a clear boundary between professional and domestic life.
The finished home offers a balanced environment where living, working and restoration coexist with ease.
